For Shan Yuhan, the movement in his paintings is the underlying logic he pursues. Firstly, in the shallow meaning, his paintings always retain a certain movement or material flow state, whether it is the scenery or the specific objects in the paintings. Secondly, in the expression of the painting, he attempts to bring the audience a relationship between motion, as well as the movement of time and space. The moment depicted by the painting is a relationship within motion, or in other words, he participates in the creative process with different objects and times, and remains calm in the present.

Time should be linear in common sense and move forward with its powerful and irreversible force, writing our history. But the creator attempts to express a story about time through the theme of hometown, and in the artist's view, this kind of thinking about time is also a form of movement. In creation, everything seems to start from memory but does not go to the future, but returns to the present.
